Why do people think it's cool to be bipolar?
If you read the left side of the meme, you will easily see the disadvantages of it. The sad part is that there are barely, if any advantages from having bipolar in real life.
It's quite demanding actually. Never knowing what's going to bloom inside you from day to day. Never knowing whether you're going to have that energy to get groceries when you need to. To have the energy to bathe yourself. To feed yourself. To gas up your car. To make it to work. To have the energy to finish your shift.
The motivation to keep a boyfriend, let alone find one.
And if you do, you're always towing that fence. That toxic / walk away point is always creeping up on you. Where the other person has to leave because you are so fucking toxic. "You" being me, or anyone with real diagnosed bipolar not some random internet test.
I don't know when it became cool for little goth chickies to start describing themselves in this manner, but they should really read up on it. Because they don't have bipolar, their reputations aren't ruined, and it looks like it's a quirky bullshit "diagnosis" (and I use that term loosely), that makes hot guys fear you? It makes hot guys fear crossing you? Is it supposed to turn them on a little bit? A little hippie, a little hood. Crazy, sexy, cool?
Just like when y'all thought it was cool to be gay. All of the fake ass bitches and posers made it worse. When everybody else who really lived it had a chance to speak out, fake bitches' voices overpowered the real stories for quite some time.
I remember when people thought it was cute to put there sexuality in their bios. I wonder if posers will start putting bipolar in their bios. All you have to do is watch them for a couple of months. If they still have their house, their car, they're significant other, they never talk about their shrink, and they don't talk about antipsychotic weight gain, they're probably a lying fuck.
When people tell me that they're bipolar, I normally don't believe them anyway until they mention their psychiatrists and how many years they've had to struggle to get said diagnosis. If they can't name off at least 20 medications that have tried and failed to fix their problem, to me they are a liar.
To anybody who says oh, everybody's a little bipolar, to you I say suck my ass. This is why Bob, crying is normal too, but if you do it 45 times a day it's not. So is pissing and shitting. Anything's normal until you find yourself spending 24 hours doing it. In the exception of hard drugs.
